New Blackberry Curve
Today marks the day where I make a very important switch, technology wise. I’ve been a Palm Treo fan for a very long time. It all started with the Treo 600, which I got while being a T-mobile customer. The phone was amazing! I loved everything about it. I was so devoted to Palm that I switched to Cingular once the Treo 650 came out; T-mobile decided not to carry the Treo anymore.
I’ve heard about Blackberry phones for a long time, but I always stayed away from them because I was a Treo fan and I really thought that the Blackberry was more for Business users, so I stayed away from it. I also preferred the Treo because there are were thousands of applications that you can load it with.

Things have changed. Blackberrys aren’t just for the CEOs and Wall Street honchos anymore. It’s for everyone. Although the list of third party apps for Blackberry isn’t as extensive as Treo’s, It has been steadily increasing. More and more developers are creating apps for everyday use as the user base for Blackberrys expands.
I finally decided to make the switch for one main reason: stability. My Treo was always crashing and I even had to format the phone on a number of occasions. A lot of other Blackberry user’s who’ve switched from the Treo proclaim that their number one reason for change was stability, and I don’t blame them.
I look forward to making the switch from Treo to Blackberry. It should be interesting.
